The Wetaskiwin Ashoro Friendship Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering and strengthening the friendship between the twinned municipalities of the City of Wetaskiwin in Alberta, Canada and the Town of Ashoro in Hokkaido, Japan. Through educational initiatives, homestays, and student/adult exchanges, the Society promotes and advocates for long lasting relationships forged through genuine connections culminating in an enhanced Canada-Japan cultural understanding.
